I see people complain about "this generation" and all I think is. Who raised this generation? The one before that! If I had a dollar for every time someone complained about my generation I could buy an iPhone, an Xbox One, a Ps4, and a WiiU and still have money left over.

A 12 year old should not have an iphone to begin with, my kid can get my Nokia 3210 until they're 18.
If a 12 year old CHILD tries to do something like this, they should not have their life ruined and spend the next 20 or 25 years in prison, the kid is still developing and clearly has something wrong with the way their thinking, she should be given seriousl mental help and yes absolutely should be punished but should not spend their life in a prison surrounded by people who are going to hurt that child and that child has no way to defend themselves, and Rich talks about the girl being capable of doing something like this, and is prison for that long really the answer? We spend so much money on imprisoning children and adults instead of addressing the real problem, which is that this child has something mentally wrong with her and should be treated like any other mentally ill person. And Rich, just because you're brother is capable of more rational thought than this girl doesn't mean anything, it just means that this kid needs more help than the typical child needs.

I'm a teen, I can relate that I could get upset with my parents if they try to take any of my devices away. It's basically a digital world now these days. But killing your mother over a fucking iPhone? Thats just taking it way too far. Never in my life have Ive never had a thought to actually kill one of parents. Especially over something like getting an IPhone taken away. That's just so stupid. It's as if she ignored any consequences this could have on her life completely. So done with humanity rn.
I'm 14 and guess what... I HATE smart phones, the only device like phones iPod is the Ipad since kids won't bring to school, the reason why is because people can't live without it always taking stupid selfies, putting on crappy music, or saying "check your snapchat", I wish people could enjoy life how it was meant to be with at least technology mixed with the outside

And this is why kids in general (with a few exceptions) dont even DESERVE to have a phone. Because they are immature... cant think right... will quickly think they are privlaged and the most important little shit in the world... the list goes on. The only time I think a kid should have a phone is if A) they walk to (and/or from) school alone, B) Are home alone for extended periods of time on a regular basis, or C) they live in a neighborhood with the crimerate of Chicago.**EDIT** and just to clarify, I mean that kids will become douchebags for having so much technology at a young age, not become murderers. This was one of those cases (rare cases may I add) where a mom found out that sadly her kid has horrible mental problems.

I remembered an old friend that had this sickening mind of killing people over things he loses or whenever he feels uncomfortable, parents still spoiled him, yet he tries to murder them in different ways. I took his watch one time while playing, and he hold me down, choking me with an extension cord... I shook him off, punch him, drag him face on the floor, stomp on his head then pick him up and strangled him, until he tries to gasp for air... let it go by throwing him down and kicked his ribs then tell him how fucked up his personality is and how unappreciative he is, lucky for me not to end his life as well, but I'm not like him.... 18 years now, he's got a family and he's very honest and very mindful of others... parents can't fixed their kids, friends can, I'm glad I did it for him for the sake of his own family as well as others...

HAHAH every kid in my class has an iPhone but I have a Motorola flip phone and everyone doesn't talk to me because of that but the other day 3 of my friends got jumped by 5 gang members and guess wat ... All three were almost beat to death and guess what the gang members took ... Their iPhones ,watches , beats headphones , money and necklaces ... The last time I got jumped was one year ago but I don't consider it getting jumped because I had $2 and a flip phone ... That i why I don't want an iPhone
