Planetary Gear Set

Komentarze:
  • Thanks - I wondered what planetary gears were for - very nicely demonstrated.
  • I am curious about one thing. Why the wind tower needs the such big blades though I also know it has scale in big and small on the wind power tower. I possibly know the bigger blades rotate one circle can make the generator rotate more circles. This is known by gear ratio also. However, as I find information on websites, the towers also needs a stable wind source place for building. Too strong wind make power satisfy for generator. If it is in a not stable wind place, may it damage the gen.?
  • lmao boy i hate this shit, but its sooo geniuss
  • Is it possible to make the gear train with only one "planet" gear and no "sun" gear? With the ring gear of course. The objective would be to rotate the ring gear with the planet gear
  • This is great! Trying to get my head around how auto. trans. works... the drawings of planetary gears are good but seeing them in motion really helps a lot. Thanks for a great job.
  • exactly what i was looking for!
  • @gbop63 have you ever rebuilt an automatic transmission? You have to pull the gearset(s) out. The valve body is only one part. Also, hybrids use a planetary gear set. On the Prius, the gas engine is connected to the planetary carrier, the electric motor is connected to the ring gear, and the sun gear is connected to the generator. Ford and GM also use a planetary gear set on their hybrids.
  • could this be used instead of a clutch
  • Makes ya wonder, Which one is the drive gear?
  • Can planetary gear carry big loads?
  • Thats the same as a Ball Bearing
  • @gbop63 you sir are VERY wrong
  • @supersonicbros23 This is what is found in helicopter transmissions. The sun gear will be connected to input drive from the engines and the output drive to the rotor system will be connected to the planetary gears. You have to go from high RPM and low TQ of the engines to low RPM and high TQ in order to spin rotor blades.
  • Must have that in real life.
  • cool~~~!
  • @gbop63 What a ridiculous comment to make.
  • Brown brought me here! :)
  • @hteen It's POV-Ray (freeware!)
  • @fairyheli2 no, each gear of the planetary gears (sun, ring, carrier) are each held by multiple clutches. but what does replace the clutch of a manual transmission is the Torque Converter. so where manual transmissions have a flywheel with a clutch on it, the autotransmission has a flexplate that drives a torque converter.
  • I love planetary gears because looks like victorian technology.
  • @fairyheli2 Yes. Several possible ways you could configure this, revolving around "stalling" a component. Simplistic version. The "planetary carrier" connects to a drive shaft, the sun gear to the engine. The ring gear has a brake connected. Brake stops ring gear, carrier turns. Ratio of input out put varies by gear. Link two pairs of sun gears via intermediary spur gears within one planetary gear carrier... Voile differential. Brake right drive shaft left goes, release it spins
